Sensory Friendly Films as part of Family Flicks

Sensory-Friendly FilmsIn partnership with Autism Speaks* Sensory-friendly films offer families struggling with autism an opportunity to enjoy a family outing in a safe and accepting environment. Simple adjustments like turning the sound down, leaving the lights up and offering additional staff within the theater to help with concessions, make a film screening sensory-friendly, and welcoming to families who struggle with autism. Audience members are welcome to dance, sing, and walk around without judgment or scrutiny.

*Autism Speaks is the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Comedy + Movies=FUN! $40 Double Feature Package includes two tickets to Theatres at Mall of America® and two tickets to Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy®. Packages are available at theatre guest service desk or the box office at House of Comedy. Restrictions: Tickets to Theatres at Mall of America® are valid everyday after 5pm and in the VIP theatre. Tickets excluded D-BOX seats. Tickets can be used for 3D movies with a 3D up charge.   House of Comedy tickets are not valid Saturday’s at 8pm or for special presentations. Purchase discounted movie tickets to Theatres at Mall of America with every entree purchased at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Crave, Dick’s Last Resort, Sky Deck Sports Bar and Grill, Stir Crazy, Famous Dave’s, Kokomo’s and Cadillac Ranch at Mall of America®. Discounted movie tickets ($7.50) are available at participating restaurants with a proof of entrée purchase. Discounted tickets are valid everyday after 5pm and are valid for special engagements, the VIP theatre, and may be used for 3D films with an additional 3D up-charge. Not valid for D-BOX seats.
